El Ma(e)stro
Sylvain Mastrogiovanni (alias “El Ma(e)stro”) is a DJ, dancer and event organizer. As a DJ, he has worked in Perpignan and Nice (France), in the main milongas of Barcelona (Desbande, milonga del Angel, milonga Sagrada, milonga Pipa), as well as at the Sitges International Tango Festival 2017, the Benidorm Tango Festival 2018 & 2019, the Tenerife Tango Meeting 2018 & 2019 and the Antwerpen Tango Festival 2019. Particular sign: he plays exclusively tandas of 3 songs.

Ana C.
Ana has been evolving in the tango world for the past ten years as a dancer, teacher, organizer and DJ (mainly in Barcelona). In particular, she participated in the Tenerife Tango Meeting 2019. She infuses her femininity and boundless love of tango into her tandas selections, and the result is undeniably a great success.

Daniel Pereyra
Daniel Pereyra started as a DJ in 2011, in the north of Buenos Aires, and in 2012, in the capital, where he has received several “best musicalizer” prices. Since then, he has toured all over the world, particularly Europe, which he especially loves. After TJing in more than 90 cities in countries such as Uruguay, Argentina, Brasil, Spain, Italy, France, Luxemburg, Germany, UK Switzerland, Bulgary, Hungary, Greece, Poland, Romania and more, Daniel developed a… gift: he “feels” the public. This allows him to adapt his musical selections at the right time to create an almost ideal atmosphere. The digital Italian press is considering him among the 5 best DJs in the world, for the environment he creates on the dance floor.

Marilu Fischer
Since I was a child, listening tango and dancing was a part of my life because my father was putting tango music every day when he was at home. Finally Tango became everything for me. From being a dancer and a teacher , with some study , I became a Dj in my milongas and then in others. Respecting the mood of the dancefloor and keeping balance between rythmical and romantic tangos, music makes people dance till the very last tanda.
My love for the Tango dance and music has taken me around the world….Brasil, Spain, Germany, Paris, Zurich, India, Qatar, Bolder Colorado, and Poland are just some of the places. I try to choose the right tandas and cortinas at the right moment to keep the energy high and dancers inspired all night long, and feeling all the emotions that tango can create.

I think it is beautiful that you guys try to keep the genders balanced. It always feels bittersweet being in festivals were you know you won’t feel tired at the end of the night. I hope I can join you.
I checked Tango Folie’s page but I couldn’t find any information about the pieces that will be available in the festival or the material. Will there be any information about that?
True Ava, creating gender balance is something that shows that the organizers care about their dancers having a great time. We tried to reach Tango Folie to see if they can respond.
Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm and questions!
Hug, and let go,
the T.A.F. team
Hi Ava,
Yes, a tango event with 10 followers for 2 leaders is very frustrating… we limit the registrations so that it never exceeds 3 followers for 2 leaders. But, since the majority of registrations are for couples, we generally don’t even have to do so.
Tango Folie doesn’t have a website yet; Ana is creating new models at the moment, but you will be able to see them on-site only.
And the TAF team is back!! Thank you guys! You used to also offer alternative accommondation options, will you do it again this time?
For Sylvain: will Angela and Mario give private classes as well?
Hi!
Yes, this is possible, but you will have to ask them directly on-site.
The dance hall is at their disposition whenever there is no milonga or collective class.
So nice of you! 🙂 I am considering coming. Will there be any leaders to join classes with followers without a partner?
Hi Marian,
Most of the time, we manage to connect people who don’t have a partner, and we also have some “taxis” who can join classes for lonely followers. So, yes, it won’t be a problem. In case we really don’t find a solution, we simply refund the person.
