Maestros at Tango Muc – Her:
Gustavo Javier Gómez
“I was born in the city of Puerto Rico in the province of Misiones, Argentina in 1979, and since I was a child, my only dream was to be a dancer. In 1993 Tango came into my life and is still one of the most important things of my life. I love Tango, I live Tango, I am fascinated of its music, the connection between two persons, the connection of their souls. A lot of teachers influenced my Tango, like Aoniken Quiroga, Alejandra Mantiñan, Johanna Copes, Jonathan Saavedra, Clarisa Aragon, Adrian Veredice and a lot more. I think that everybody has its own Tango and my work is to help every student to discover this Tango. My focus is on musicality, „El abrazo“, communication, connection, technique and discovering the connection between your soul and the soul of Tango. I worked in the last years a lot in Germany where I live and have my school, but also in Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Spain and Argentina. I am looking forward to discover Greece. See you there!!”

TJs:

Manuel Frantz
I started dancing Tango in 2014 and DJing just two years later. First I DJed in regular milongas in Munich and soon got invitations to DJ in international milongas and events.
My focus is on the big orchestras of the Epoca de Oro that provide all the emotions that we are looking for in Tango. In order to enable dancers to feel the music deeply I take great care of the sound and build the energy from the start to an emotional, intimate and passionate climax.

Daniel Kubas
Tango found Daniel Kubas on a long distance flight half way between Berlin and Melbourne in 1998, while watching a documentary on the origins of tango. Ηe gave his DJ debut in 2009 in Paris, followed by events across Europe and since 2011 is based in Munich. He describes himself as a progressive traditional DJ seeking a balance between rhythmic and melodic tangos from all epochs.

Lena Kanellou
Lena Kanellou was initially drawn to tango because of the dance, but soon, fell profoundly in love with the soulful music and poignant lyrics. She finds Golden Era music to be very conducive to a beautiful dancefloor experience and she loves coming up with tandas that, apart from a musical, also follow a conceptual theme in their poetry.

George Spyridakis
George started dealing with music, sound and D.J.ing in a very young age. For many years he was the basic Dj at Tangoneon Heraklion of Crete (from 2004). He started dancing tango in 2003 so he counts many years on dancing floors and decks. His favorite music period is the golden age, but he also finds interesting the new tango orchestras and faces them as the fresh look in the musical tradition of tango.
The last years he is living at Rethymno Crete, and is the co-organizer and dj at a weekly milonga (milongas at rethymno every Friday).

He has DJ’ed in the International Tango Festival A-Los-Amigos, Vol 5, Vol 6 & Vol 7, Heraklion Tango Marathon 2019. His music is characterized by diversity in the rhythm and melodies of the Golden Age in connection with modern interpretations by today’s orchestras.

The dress in the picture of Tango Latino looks beautiful. Will you have it?
Also, will there be provided trasportation to the different milongas or we need to arrange ourselves? Looking forward to visiting Greece again!
Thank you for sharing your questions David! We forwarded your questions to the organizers and asked them to respond here.
